[Have an Azula wearing red harem pants and a loose tunic-style shirt (this is video because she wants to show off her new clothes, OF COURSE), and looking to be in a better mood than she's been in recently (NO MORE WHINING, YAY)]

So as it turns out, I did go shopping last weekend. It wasn't as difficult as I had expected to find Earth-style clothes that I like, and I suppose--

[Suddenly Rachel starts making some cute happy gurgling noises offscreen; Azula gives the crib a quick, slightly irritated glance]

Hush.

As I was saying, I suppose it makes sense to wear Earth clothing during the times that I'm on Earth; I was getting quite sick of people asking me if I was dressed up for a play. And they never seemed to like the answers I ga--

I'm glad I'm not the type to get scared or wake up screaming or something ridiculous like that; that would just be pathetic.

How many of you have been threatened with death? Furthermore, were you afraid, or did you actually do something about it?

And Dr. Cuddy, are we still going shopping this weekend?

Gotham was a waste of time. I don't even know if he had a purpose in wanting me to come, but whatever it was, he didn't accomplish it.

It's ridiculous how many worlds let their criminals run free. The Fire Nation has relatively little crime, because insane people are institutionalized and other offenders are either locked up or executed. It's ironic how many people here are so quick to denounce us for our worthy and justified war, while saying nothing about other worlds' lazy law enforcement and idle governments.

[This next part is muttered under her breath]

If he does anything like that I suppose I'll just have to take matters into my own hands.

Azula had never been to Gotham. Strictly speaking, it had never been high on her list of places to visit-- she had never been made aware of any interesting people or places in the city (or on that world at all, really), and so during her time on the community it had mostly flown under her radar.

The Joker, however, had been trying to get her to come see him on and off for the past couple of months. All previous attempts had been shot down unceremoniously-- he was admittedly intriguing, yes but that didn't change the fact that he was a common criminal, and hardly the sort of person that she made a point of associating with. Strictly speaking, she wasn't sure why she had accepted his offer this time. Perhaps she was curious. Perhaps she just wanted to get out of the house. Perhaps she was feeling just a little rebellious.

If asked point-blank, she'd blame boredom.

Not being able to worldhop by myself is incredibly inconvenient. If no one is willing to take you somewhere, you're stuck. Not that I particularly cared about going to Gotham, but now that I'm out of the hospital I need something to do.

... For everyone who doesn't have servants or private hairdressers: what do you do when you need a trim? Do you just cut it yourself?

[Azula is lying in a hospital bed in the Fire Nation, looking angry and indignant-- she winces slightly from the pain as she moves her hand back from turning the recorder on]

Everyone here should stop lying to me; I don't see why I should believe anyone at all. That one man says he's my father, but then another man tells me he isn't. They say my mother died in childbirth, but then another woman claims that she is my mother. You tell me I'm the leader of a country, but then another man tells me I'm his servant, kidnaps me from my hospital room, and kicks my stitches out.

[Breathing heavily from her rant, she leans back against her pillow and closes her eyes for a moment]

I'd prefer to go back to that other hospital. They at least seemed competent and sane.

OOC: Ozai kidnapped her from her hospital room. 8) He DID kick her in the side and cause her newly-made stitches to come undone, but then he had the palace doctor do them up again. OBVIOUSLY HE'S THE BEST DAD EVER Y/Y

The leaves are changing color in New Jersey, and some of them are falling off the trees. I've heard of this phenomenon, of course-- it happens in the northern Earth Kingdom, among other places-- but I've never actually seen it for myself until now. Is it common on Earth worlds?

... It's also getting colder; I can especially tell at night. Does it snow on Earth, too?

[Here we have Azula coming down the stairs at Cuddy's house, going into the kitchen to make herself a cup of tea before going back home. While waiting for the water to boil she stops to turn on the television, just because she can. Flipping through the channels, lalala... there's a baseball game, some cop show, an stylistic sequence of someone firebending-- WAIT A SECOND. She flips back to that, and curiously begins to watch what is, of course, the intro to the television show Avatar: The Last Airbender (which I looked for all over YouTube and COULD NOT FIND; it's all fan-made openings, sob).]

[When the opening titles end and she speaks, she sounds annoyed-- and genuinely surprised:]
